Language Transfer's audio courses teach you to build your own sentences by thinking rather than memorising, and every lesson is free with no ads, no signup and no paywall (it runs on donations). The catch: it covers only a handful of languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Swahili, and English for Spanish speakers) and it is audio-only; for anything else, Duolingo has 40+ languages but its free tier shows ads and rations lessons with an energy meter.
